Mechanicsburg, PA – Nov. 15, 2018 – Recognizing the need for 21st century learning to reach each and every learner in today’s schools, Eduplanet21 is announcing a new partnership with AASA, the School Superintendents Association, to offer their first available learning path in the platform’s diverse and flexible online Marketplace of Learning Paths.

AASA has been working to bring better educational outcomes for more than 150 years. Today, the robust and far-reaching organization has a renewed mission to drive system changes and increase educational equity. They do so through a two-pronged strategy dubbed the “Air and Ground Campaign.” The Air Campaign is the educational and communication strategy that helps extend conversations about best practices across the country. The Ground Campaign involves direct, intensive interventions to bring forward those best practices in classrooms through informed leadership.

AASA’s first available learning path is titled “Personalizing Your School or District: Ten Building Blocks for Success.” It has been developed with extensive input from John L. Brown, former Executive Director of Curriculum Services and design for Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, Va. His approach and framework for curriculum design includes training in both Understanding by Design and What Works in Schools. In addition, he provides a wealth of experience in creating online professional development courses. He is also a co-author of the book Personalizing 21st Century Education: A Framework for Student Success, which serves as the basis for this learning path.

We are excited to partner with Eduplant21 because we mutually agree that all students, no matter where they’re from, should receive an excellent and rigorous education in order to be a productive member of our society,” said Daniel A. Domenech, Executive Director, AASA. “An integral part of AASA’s mission is to provide cutting-edge, top-notch professional development services for superintendents and those aspiring to become superintendents. The work generated by this partnership represents an unique approach to create career paths for school system leaders.”

“We are excited to offer this learning path on an innovative and timely topic that is sure to speak to the concerns of so many school administrators and look forward to the potential growth and expansion of partnership with AASA to bring more of their important work to an even larger audience,” said Jeff Colosimo, Eduplanet21’s CEO. “The opportunity to extend AASA’s reach through our online Marketplace, putting even more educational administrators in touch with the tools they need to make lasting, meaningful change in their districts and schools is an exciting opportunity.”

As educators grapple with rapidly changing technology and models of teaching and learning, AASA’s learning path presents an applicable vision for an individualized educational system that gives educators a practical educational model to help prepare today’s learners for the future demands.
