Given the challenge of an overpacked curriculum and relentless demands on teachers and school leaders, streamlining the curriculum has become a necessity. But there is more. If we want true engagement, curriculum design needs to be refreshed and reimagined as narrative so that the learners are literally the audience. Allison Zmuda and Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs propose a storyboard approach to curriculum layout, language, imagery, and style that deliberately engages students and their families.
The following questions were the basis of the webinar:
- What is storyboarding and why do we need it?
- Who is the audience for storyboarding?
- What are the components?
- What do sample storyboards look like?
- How can Eduplanet21 support storyboarding in your school?
